Commitment to Accessible Hospitality
Highland Ranch values inclusion and strives to welcome all guests—regardless of ability—to experience Montana's wild beauty and hospitality. Our mission is to continuously improve both our physical property and website to better serve guests with disabilities.
Property Accessibility Features (2025)
- Accessible Lounge: The Highland Ranch lounge is wheelchair accessible, with barrier-free entry and accessible seating.
- Accommodations: Currently, our cabins/tents and restroom facilities are not ADA-compliant; accessible lodging and pathways are planned for completion by the 2026 season.
- Outdoor Areas: The riverbank, meadows, and most trails are not yet accessible to wheelchairs or guests with limited mobility.
- Service Animals: Service animals are always welcome in all accommodations and event spaces.
- Personalized Assistance: Our team is happy to provide personalized assistance (help with check-in, moving equipment, answering questions)—please let us know how we can help when booking.
Known Limitations and Ongoing Improvements
We acknowledge that certain property features may present accessibility challenges, including:
- No accessible parking or ramp-equipped entrances at this time
- Limited access to outdoor spaces for those with mobility impairments
- No portable ramps or alternative devices available yet (these are under consideration)
We are committed to:
- Adding ADA-compliant cabins/tents, ramps, accessible parking, and restroom facilities before peak season 2026
- Routinely evaluating our facilities and services for compliance with Montana and federal ADA laws
Website Accessibility & Future Upgrades
Highland Ranch is dedicated to delivering a website that's accessible to all. As of November 2025:
- Our site may not yet meet the latest WCAG or ADA standards for alt text, high-contrast visuals, or keyboard navigation
- We plan upgrades in 2026 to include alt text for all images, readable font choices, stronger color contrast, and options for screen readers and keyboard navigation
